dc.description.abstractA 5-Gbit/s joint OWC and FMCW LiDAR system is experimentally demonstrated over a 1.5 m free-space optical link. No optical amplification is needed in the optical transmission system by using a calibration-free and low-loss (-12 dB) 512-element OPA.
