dc.description.abstractThis work introduces the first application of Silicon photonics sensors in the production of Carbon fiber reinforced composites. Embedded in a multi-ton composite tool, the sensors exhibited high thermo-optic sensitivity, linearity and exceptional stability, enabling precise cure-state monitoring across the full dynamic range (25-160 °C).
