Printed Antenna for Simultaneous Near- and Far-Field Wireless Power Transfer

Abstract

Printed folded dipole structures are bent to create microwave antennas that can also be used as coil structures for inductive Wireless Power Transfer. The microwave antenna characteristics as well as the near-contact coupling characteristics are evaluated. A compromise in performance is found for a two-element printed halo antenna.
