SMART PHOTONIC AND OPTOELECTRONIC INTEGRATED CIRCUITS 2026
Abstract
We present a recurrent optical spectrum slicer integrated on the silicon-on-insulator platform and demonstrate its use for compensating dispersive effects in high-speed optical transmission. Using this device, we experimentally achieve transmission of up to 160 GBaud PAM4 signals over 50 km of standard optical fibre, showcasing its potential for next-generation high-capacity links.
