2025 INTERNATIONAL VLSI SYMPOSIUM ON TECHNOLOGY, SYSTEMS AND APPLICATIONS, VLSI TSA
Abstract
To realize photonic quantum technologies, such as an optical quantum computer or a quantum communication link, novel photonic components are needed. Monolithic silicon or silicon nitride platforms fall short for quantum needs, suggesting a hybrid solution with quantum-specific materials. This talk will cover how Pockels materials can provide electro-optical capabilities meeting quantum standards. We will also discuss their integration into existing platforms and benefits for classical applications such as optical communications for data- and telecommunications.
