Gallium- and Silicon Nitride-Based Photonic Integrated Circuits for Visible Wavelengths

Abstract

Photonic integration of GaN and Si-SiN platforms at the shortest visible wavelength is reported. Maximum theoretical coupling efficiencies up to 51% and 24% for a vertical grating coupler (fiber-chip) and hybrid integration, respectively, are achieved. (C) 2020 The Author(s)
